About the job

For a growing company in Aalst, we are searching for an Account Manager to be accountable for managing and expanding our customer portfolio. As an Account Manager, you will be pivotal to the success of our company and actively work to build long-term relationships with existing customers, while also acquiring new ones. You will ensure commercial success by offering customized solutions and providing exceptional service.


Your responsibilities

  • Relationship management: Maintain existing customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Acquisition: Actively pursuing new customers and expanding the customer portfolio.
  • Sales calls: Conduct commercial discussions with potential customers and prepare proposals and offers.
  • Negotiating: Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to secure the best deals.
  • Objectives: Achieve commercial targets and KPIs, and ensure sustainable growth of the customer base.
  • Market analysis: Analyzing the market and developing strategies to position our products and services.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal departments such as marketing, customer service, and product development to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Preparation of reports on sales results and customer developments for the management team.

Who are you?

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or similar.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as an Account Manager or in a similar commercial role.
  • Sales skills: Strong in making sales calls, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Customer-focused: You have a customer-oriented mindset and can build and maintain relationships.
  • Independent and goal-oriented: You work autonomously and are results-oriented, with a proactive and hands-on attitude.
  • Communication strong: You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Technical affinity (optional): Knowledge of the products and services you offer is an advantage, but not a requirement.
