About the job

For a dynamic company based in Mechelen, we are looking for an ambitious Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and potential customers. You will work closely with various internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and create new sales opportunities. You will be the driving force behind the company’s growth in your region!


Your responsibilities

  • Maintain customer relationships: Manage and build relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Attract new customers: Actively seeking new customers and closing commercial deals.
  • Sales strategy: Drafting and implementing sales strategies and achieving sales targets.
  • Commercial negotiations: Negotiate contracts and prices, taking into account customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Account management: Responsible for following up customer projects and ensuring correct execution of the agreement.
  • Reporting: Report progress and sales results to management and contribute to commercial planning.
  • Market insights: Tracking market trends and competition to identify commercial opportunities.

Who are you?

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or similar.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Account Manager, Sales Representative or in a similar commercial role.
  • Commercial skills:
    • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
    • Good knowledge of customer-focused selling and building long-term relationships.
  • Technical knowledge: Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) is a plus.
  • Competences:
    • Proactive, results-oriented and solution-oriented.
    • Good communication and presentation skills.
    • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Language skills: Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is a plus.
