About the job

For a financially healthy and growing organisation in Beveren, we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper. In this role, you will contribute to the efficient management of the financial administration and ensure that the figures are always correct. You will be responsible for keeping the accounts from A to Z and play a crucial role in supporting management with financial reports.

Your responsibilities

• Accounting from A to Z: Processing purchase and sales invoices, bank statements and cash register.
• VAT returns: Preparation and filing of VAT returns in accordance with applicable legislation.
• Periodic closures: Prepare and execute monthly and annual closures.
• Reporting: Preparation of financial reports and analysis for management.
• Budgeting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with legal and tax obligations.
• Optimisation: Contribute to the optimisation of financial processes and systems.

Who are you?

• Education: Bachelor of Accountancy-Taxation or equivalent financial training.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Technical knowledge:
  • Experience with accounting software such as WinBooks, Exact or SAP.
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel.
• Competences:
  • Accurate, analytical and problem-solving.
  • Able to work independently, but also a team player.
  • Communicative and professional.
• Language skills: Fluent in Dutch; English and/or French is a plus.
