About the job

For a leading organisation in Dendermonde, we are looking for a Credit Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and follow-up of outstanding invoices, mitigating credit risks, and maintaining customer relationships financially. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure a healthy cash flow.

Your responsibilities

• Accounts receivable management: Active follow-up of outstanding payments and timely contacting customers.
• Credit analysis: Evaluate creditworthiness of customers and advise on credit limits.
• Reporting: Preparation of reports on outstanding debtors and cash flow.
• Negotiations: Discuss payment terms and make payment arrangements where necessary.
• Process improvement: improving the credit management process to increase efficiency.
• Collaboration: Working closely with sales and other departments to minimise financial risks.
• Ad-hoc tasks: Supporting monthly closures and audits.

Who are you?

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, or similar.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in an international environment.
• Technical knowledge:
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP or Navision).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of receivables management and financial analysis.
• Competences:
  • Analytical, accurate, and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented.
• Language skills: Fluent in Dutch; good knowledge of English and French is a plus.
