What will you do as Facility Manager?
As Facility Manager, you are the lynchpin in the maintenance and development of our facilities in Sint-Niklaas. You ensure that all building systems function optimally, coordinate maintenance planning and have an eye for safety and efficiency. You work closely with various departments to ensure that everything runs smoothly and complies with the applicable standards and legislation.

Your duties and responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Planning: developing and implementing maintenance schedules for building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing and security.
• Budget management: Managing budgets for facility operations, including maintenance and repair costs.
• Safety standards: Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Contract management: Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers.
• Renovation and Improvement: Plan and implement improvements and renovations to the facility.
• Emergencies: Responding quickly and appropriately to emergencies such as equipment failures or power cuts.
• Internal Communication: Collaborate with internal departments to improve operational efficiency and take care of facility needs.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering or a related field.
• You have at least 3-5 years’ experience in facility management or a similar position.
• You have thorough knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and relevant safety standards.
• You can manage budgets and plan maintenance schedules efficiently.
• You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• You are independent, proactive and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• You have experience in contractor management and project coordination.
