About the job

For a dynamic and growing company in Mechelen, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for monitoring the financial health of the company. You will provide crucial insights, support management decision-making and play a key role in developing financial strategies.

Your responsibilities

• Financial reporting: Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and financial analyses.
• Budget management: Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Cash flow management: Monitor and optimise cash flow.
• Internal control: Develop and implement internal control systems to minimise risks.
• Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis to identify trends and anomalies.
• Advisory: advising management on financial strategies and investment decisions.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations on finance and taxation.

Who are you?

• Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial role, preferably as a Controller or Auditor.
• Technical knowledge:
  • Thorough knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Navision or Oracle.
  • Expert in Excel and financial modelling.
• Competences:
  • Analytically strong and problem-solving.
  • Proactive and able to think strategically.
  • Excellent communication skills.
• Language skills: Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
