About the job
For a renowned company in Beveren, we are looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant. In this position, you will be responsible for the correct processing of payroll administration and its integration into the accounting system. You play a key role in managing personnel costs and ensure that all payroll data is accurately processed in the financial accounts.
Your responsibilities
- Payroll: Ensuring correct and timely processing of salaries in cooperation with a social secretary.
- Accounting processing: integrate payroll data into the financial records and general ledger.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyse reports related to personnel expenses, such as holiday pay, bonuses and other benefits.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with social and tax regulations, including returns (NSSO, withholding tax).
- Optimisation: Actively contribute to the improvement of payroll and accounting processes.
- Audit preparation: Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll and related financial data.
- Advice: Act as point of contact for HR and finance regarding payroll costs and payroll data.

Who are you?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy-Tax, Human Resources or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll and/or accounting.
- Technical knowledge:
- Experience with payroll software (such as SD Worx, Partena, etc.) and accounting software (e.g. SAP, WinBooks).
- Thorough knowledge of Excel.
- Knowledge of social and tax legislation.
- Competences:
- Accurate, analytical and problem-solving.
- Communicatively strong and service-oriented.
- Team player who works well with HR and finance.
- Language skills: Fluent in Dutch; English and/or French is a plus.
