What will you participate in as a Payroll Specialist?
As Payroll Specialist, you will collaborate closely with HR colleagues and external partners to ensure efficient and effective payroll processes. You will be responsible for payroll administration and play a significant role in adhering to social legislation.
Your duties:
- Compensation administration: Processing and examining compensations for both blue-collar and white-collar workers, in collaboration with a social secretary.
- Contract oversight: Developing and supervising employment contracts, payslips, and other staff documentation.
- Social legislation: Implement and stay up to date on social and tax laws.
- Guidance: Addressing employee inquiries regarding salary, holidays, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Documentation: Compiling compensation reports and assessments for HR and management.
- Process enhancement: Identify and implement improvements in compensation procedures.
- Collaboration: Serving as a link for external partners such as the social secretariat and government agencies.

Who are we seeking?
- Education: An undergraduate or graduate degree in HR, Payroll, Financial Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in compensation, preferably collaborating with a social secretariat.
- Skills:
- Exceptional understanding of Belgian social laws and compensation procedures.
- Precise, structured, and solution-oriented.
- Strong communication abilities and customer-centric approach.
- Experience with compensatory software and Microsoft Excel.
- Language proficiency: Proficient in Dutch; familiarity with English and/or French is beneficial.
