For a leading organisation in Beveren, we are looking for an accurate and proactive Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will manage the entire payroll administration and provide optimal support to employees in terms of payroll and social legislation.
What will you do as a Payroll Specialist?
As Payroll Specialist, you will work closely with HR colleagues and external partners to ensure error-free and efficient payroll. You will be responsible for payroll administration and play an important role in complying with social legislation.
Your responsibilities:
- Wage administration: Processing and checking wages for both blue-collar and white-collar workers, in collaboration with a social secretary.
- Contract management: Drafting and managing employment contracts, payslips and other personnel documents.
- Social legislation: Apply and keep up-to-date with social and tax legislation.
- Advice: Answering employee queries on salary, holidays, benefits and other HR-related issues.
- Reporting: Preparation of payroll reports and analysis for HR and management.
- Process optimisation: Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes.
- Cooperation: Function as a point of contact for external partners such as the social secretariat and government agencies.

Who are we looking for?
- Education: An undergraduate or graduate degree in HR, Payroll, Financial Management or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll, preferably working with a social secretariat.
- Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of Belgian social legislation and payroll processes.
- Accurate, structured and solution-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and customer orientation.
- Experience with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Language skills: Fluent in Dutch; knowledge of English and/or French is a plus.
