What will you do as a Payroll Specialist?

As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for precise and timely processing of payroll for the company’s employees. You will ensure that all payroll is executed accurately and in compliance with legislation.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing: Processing wages, benefits and premiums for all employees.
  • Social legislation: Ensure compliance with social and fiscal legislation, including taxes, social security contributions and pension funds.
  • Reports: Preparation of monthly and annual reports, including pay slips, tax returns and legal documents.
  • Declarations: Preparation of periodic returns and final responsibility for tax and social security documents.
  • Counselling employees: Answering employees’ questions on wage and compensation issues, tax matters, and social security.
  • Payroll administration: Manage personnel files and changes in payroll such as pay increases, holidays and sick leave.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a degree in accounting, HR or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a payroll role, preferably in a larger organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of social legislation, taxation and payroll.
  • You have experience with payroll software and possess a good understanding of Excel.
  • You work accurately, are solution-oriented and have a high level of discretion.
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and ideally also in English.
